break barriers and big dreams
can one day make history.”
-AJ Andrews

A.J. Andrews has taken over the spotlight in softball. Last year, the former Countryside High and LSU standout became the first female to win a Rawlings Gold Glove in the award’s 59-year existence.
Now Andrews will be among 23 athletes to be featured in ESPN The Magazine‘s body issue. Photos, interviews and videos of the athletes will debut on ESPN.com on July 5. The issue will hit newsstands two days later.

In a promotional video, Andrews shows off her back.
“I have a really ripped back,” Andrews says while laughing.

Not only do I want the softball community to set higher goals but women everywhere! I have a burning passion for sports and entertainment, and aspirations to deliver messaging and content to influence culture. I want women to know they’re powerful and they can break barriers regardless of size. I will use my platform to inspire them to have big dreams and work towards those dreams no matter how “impossible” they may seem.
